I have always had a fascination with the paranormal. Growing up I had several small incidents and one big one when I was a teenager that made me believe that maybe life does go on outside the body.
And the interest was probably helped along by watching way to many scary movies growing up. None the less, I spent many an hour reading everything I could on ghosts and haunted locations. I even visited a
few. Then, about 7 years ago I discovered this little show on the Sci-Fi channel called Ghost Hunters. This followed the true-to-life adventures of a group of ghost hunters called The Atlantic Paranormal Society,
In December of 2009, my brother and I drove to New Hampshire and stayed at the Spalding Inn. The Spalding is an old, and I mean OLD, hotel in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It is also
owned and operated by the founding members of Taps, Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. They were hosting an event where you could meet them, listen to the tell of their stories, and then investigate their hotel. It was
a lot of fun, despite coming down with a terrible cold on the drive up. And, both my brother and I each had an odd experience in one room of the hotel.

So far that is my only real outing with ghost hunting, but I have a few friends who share my interest and I hope to do some more hunting soon. Until then, I can live vicariously through my weekly dose of Ghost Hunters.
